Carved Inlays
In addition to doing regular smooth top inlays, inlays can also be carved in a variety of creative ways.
Jewelry designers often send us diagrams or drawings of their idea for making a carved inlay. I examine the drawing to see if it can be done. If it needs to be modified in some way I make suggestions for a modification which will remain consistent with the design they want.
Sometimes the jeweler carves a wax to illustrate how they want the inlay carved and we make the stone inlay like their wax carving.
