A jewelry designer designed this ring for their customer who wanted an arched black inlay with flutted grooves carved into the inlay.
Because it is a ring and the inlay would require durability, I recommended they use Black Jade.
The jeweler carved a piece of black wax to illustrate how they wanted the inlay to be carved, which you will see below.
Here you can see the ring with the wax sample that the jeweler carved.
The wax was for the purpose of showing us how they wanted the grooves to be placed in the Black Jade.
Here you can see the finished ring.
It took a good sized block of Black Jade to arch all of the way over this ring.
You can see the polished grooves in the inlay which are evenly spaced across the inlay.
