The owner of this ring brought it to a jeweler who sent it to us to have all 4 Opal inlays replaced. The Opal inlays had broken after years of being worn by the owner.
A certain type of Opal is best for inlay and we keep a stock of the rough material for inlaying.
You can see that one of the Opal inlays is missing, another is badly broken, and the others are also chipped and cracked.
I sort through our stock of rough Opal material to find pieces which match.
In this photo you can see the pieces I have selected for size and color which are ready to be inlaid.
You can see that the ring turned out very nice.
It is like new again!
