This ring had been worn for many years by the owner and by now all of the inlays appeared to be crushed and ready to fall out. The owner wanted their ring to be made to look like new again.
I look at the Opal which is still in the ring to see what the colors of the previous Opal were. If the previous inlay has fallen out and is missing, I ask the customer what color of Opal they want to be used.
At left you can see that the old inlays are practically crushed and about ready to fall out.
These will need to be removed and re-inlaid with new Opal to match the color of the old ones.
Here is the piece that I selected to match and inlay into the ring.
The ring is now ready to be re-inlaid with the new Opal material.
The ring now looks like new again!
