Ring inlaid with Meteorite
Meteorite inlaid in jewelry makes a great conversation piece! Friends are very intrigued when you tell them a part of your ring was once zooming around in outer-space and was then a shooting star which someone later found.
The type of Meteorite which we normally use for inlay is a type called Octahedrite. After it is inlaid, the surface is treated with an acid solution which brings out a very intersting crystaline pattern.
Because Meteorite is a metal, it is hard to work with and because of that we have to charge more for inlaying Meteorite than when inlaying Lapis or Black Jade.
