A jeweler in Boston was designing a special piece for their customer. They wanted a high quality Sleeping Beauty Turquoise cut in a special shape. Their customer also wanted a marquise shaped Diamond to be set in the middle of the Turquoise.
Here you can see the freeform shape of Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and the marquise shaped bezel which we needed to fit into the Turquoise.
To make a hole in this unique shape, we need to do a lot of hand work with pointed Diamond abrasive files.
You can now see how the bezel sits in the finished hole.
Here you can see how it looks straight on, the way it will be worn.
