Opal inlays often need to be repaired or replaced like other inlays do.
We stock Opal material of various color combinations to use for replacement.
A big difference between the way we do our Opal inlay and how others are done is, other inlay artists often inlay only a thin veneer of Opal and fill in the rest of the back with glue whereas we inlay the Opal piece all of the way to the bottom of the inlay channel. This makes for a more durable inlay which should last longer becasue it is less vulnerable to breakage.
You can see more about Opal on our Opal materials page.
