Citrine rough material

Citrine is yellow Quartz. The word citrine comes from the Anglo-French word for citrus, meaning, like lemon.

Citrine is a good hard material (hardness of 7) which takes a very good polish. It can be a bit brittle so setters should be careful when setting Citrine.

Colors of Citrine: Citrine ranges in color from light to dark yellow and also an orangy yellow. The orangy yellow form of Citrine is known as Madiera Citrine. Some citrine has overtones of browns.
