Aquamarine rough materials

Aquamarine is blue or blue-green Beryl.

It is a good hard material for cutting and is quite popular.

It can be hard to find Aquamarine in dark blue colors. Most Aqua is a light to medium color.

Aquamarine is found in many places in the world. Brazil, Africa, Asia, Afghanistan, and Mt. Antero in Colorado, USA.

This piece has flaws in it but small stones could be cut from it. Or the large piece could be used for carving.

Aquamarine crystal

This is an Aquamarine crystal which I found on Mount Antero many years ago.

It has a fairly clean area in the middle which would cut a 6 or 8 carat stone.
