Amethyst rough material
Amethyst is purple Quartz.
Amethyst is a good hard material (hardness of 7) which takes a very good polish. It can be a bit brittle so setters should be careful when setting Amethyst.
Amethyst can range from heavily flawed material to flawless crystals with a beautiful purple color which can sometimes have flashes of red in some rare instances.
