I re-faceted this Tanzanite into a cushion shape

A jeweler sent me the oval Tanzanite pictured below for re-cutting. They didn't like the cut on the crown and they also wanted the shape changed from oval to cushion becasue cushion cuts sell better.

Below you can see how I did the re-faceting.

An oval Tanzanite

Oval Tanzanite before re-faceting

This is what the Tanzanite looked like when I received it.

It was oval in shape and had a small window.

The jeweler wanted this changed into a brilliant style of crown in the process of changing the shape.

You can see the new pattern that I am cutting on the pavilion.

I have cut all of the facets. Uou can see where I have polished some of the facets near the culet but other facets are still frosty looking from the cutting process.

You can now see the finished cushion Tanzanite.

The window is now closed and you can see how much more brilliant this stone is than before the re-faceting.

The stone is face down and youy can see the pavilion facet pattern.
